Seminar would be a good avenue of meeting new acquaintances or simply doing business networking.
Why did I tell you this so? Because I'd been practiced it to myself of what I said. I'd always used this strategy of widening my contact list thru attending seminars wherein I able to get a number of calling cards or contacts from different schools or industries. Just like now, I'm attending the seminar sponsored by the following companies: Evergreen Comware, Simon, and IBM. The theme of the event is "ICT Application That Empower the Enterprise for Business Growth" with the target audience: Senior and middle executives.
My expectation of the event was a training about sales or management as being affirmed by their programme distributed among the attendees. The morning session was understandable when the sponsors presented their parts. But I noticed that even in the afternoon what we expected to formally begin the training was seemed to be different because the talkings were about an endorsement of their products.
Nevertheless, I made an unexpected experience when I got several calling cards from my new acquaintances with a minimal effort -- really!.
Even though it seemed annoying but I persist to think differently from others who were kept on going out. Imagine I make used my time making this journal as well as making a list of great phrases extracted from their brochures instead of feeling bad , I made it a twist that made me feel very good.
Once again the law of attraction, instantly working at me in my favor, I able to pre-set an appointment with a new acquintance. And most of all , during the raffle , I tried to ask secretly to myself to get the price , USB 2G(courtesy of IBM), and it is exactly granted. I have now the 2G-USB. Thank You!
