As I opened the door going inside my house, it caught directly into my attention the comfortable massage chair lying in our sala. I began asking my parents where it came from and who brought it. My mother told me that she won it in the promo. I was surprise and glad to know about it. Gave a hand of congratulation to my mother and immediatley sat down the massage chair. It worked good and massaged my back more satisfying and relaxing. I was so impressed of how technology brought comfort to people's lives. A few minutes I found out that there were add-on prizes just like inductive cooker, door buzz, and others.
Later, several minutes passed by, my mother confessed to me at low voice about the real scenario. She told me that someone called her from the Home Sonic Appliance Center located in the Gaisano Fiesta Mall. Together with my brother she rushed out to claim the prize. As what my mother foretold that several sales lady welcomed them warmly of which my mother was overwhelmed the excitement. Until to the point someone told her that in order to claim the prize of the promo she must bought any item worth at least 50T pesos and got immediately the winning prize of massage chair worth 100T pesos. My mother wanted to pull back the offer but she wouldn't able to refuse because of their manipulative sales tactics supportive back my sales team. According to my mother that they were so hard in convincing her to use the supplementary credit card just to take advantage of the good prize promo.
At home my mother was so regretful of the decision she made, a worth of 51,000 pesos was charged from the credit card.
With the situation being presented and analyzed it, I raised the following questions of doubt in my mind about the promo validity:
1. Why they could not clearly tell the winning source exactly?
2. Why they never ask any coupon for claiming?
3. Why they had charged a price in exchange of the prize?
4. Why they were so manipulative?
5. Why my mother had not received any certificate of winning?
Because of these aforementioned questions, I decided to talk to their management and clarify the things I formulated thru the mentioned questions.
